Signing in asks Discord for two permissions: who you are, and your membership in the SideQuest server. From those we keep:
- Your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar
- Your nickname and roles in the SideQuest server, and whether you're still in it
- When you last signed in
Your username, display name, avatar, nickname, roles and guild membership stay in sync with Discord continuously, not just when you sign in — our bot watches for changes in the SideQuest server and updates them automatically. When you last signed in only updates at sign-in. We never see your email, password or messages, and we don't keep the token Discord hands us. It's used once during sign-in and then thrown away.
When a guild master confirms you're in the in-game guild, we also keep that and when it happened. It's what opens the member channels in Discord, and a guild master can remove it.
The first time you sign in, our bot posts a notice in an officers-only Discord channel with your name, username, avatar and BattleTag (if you've linked one), so a guild master can confirm you. Clicking Approve there does the same thing as confirming you on this site; the notice is updated either way.
Guild masters can see a members' list on this site with your Discord roles, sign-in and link dates, your event sign-ups and comments, and any moderation records. When an officer creates, changes or deletes an event or addon, or changes the roster, we keep a record of which officer did it and when. If an officer deletes their account, those records keep only their display name.
